Grimwade and Moscript nominated for Future Star Award

Grimwade was a revelation for the Australian under-19s in their tour of Sri Lanka, claiming 12 wickets in four matches.

He continued that form when he returned for Prahran in Bartercard Premier Cricket, where he has captured five wickets in three games.

Grimwade’s best performance came in round five against Hawthorn-Monash University where he delivered ten overs, bowled five maidens and took 2-10.

Moscript has impressed at the top order for Dandenong this season.

The Victorian under-18 player struck 44 and 41 in the Lions’ opening two matches of the season.

Moscript has now amassed 125 runs this season, at an average of 31.25.

Introduced in 2005-06, the award is presented each season to the best under-19 Victorian male and female player based on the their form at Bartercard Premier Cricket level and at the National Championships, with nominations selected by a panel of committee members on a monthly basis.

The winners of the Commonwealth Bank Future Star Award will be crowned at the Cricket Victoria State Awards in March.
