MCG Open Day on September 28

Victorian cricket fans will have a rare chance to walk on the hallowed turf of the MCG at the ground's Open Day on September 28.

Fans will be able to recreate some of their favourite Victorian moments such as Shane Warne’s 700th Test wicket and Boxing Day Test hat-trick, Merv Hughes stretching in front of Bay 13 and Aaron Finch’s one-day international century last summer.

Highlights of the day include:

• Relive your favourite moments on the hallowed MCG turf with kick-to-kick with family and friends.

• Explore the inner sanctum of the MCG, including the player change rooms and cricket viewing rooms.

• Roving entertainment and activities.

• Visit the National Sports Museum (cost $5). 

• Have your photo taken on the AFL premiership dais with the 2014 replica premiership cup (cost $10 – or $5 if you pre-register below).

Other key event information:

• Open Day will take place from 10.00am to 3.00pm with last ground access at 2.30pm.

• Access to the MCG will available via Gate 3 (Olympic Stand).

• In the event of a drawn AFL Grand Final, Open Day will be cancelled.
