Under-16 showcase games this Sunday

Cricket Victoria Pathway Under-16 showcase games will be played this Sunday on dual grounds at Frankston-Peninsula CC.

The two 50-over matches will see Renegades Country Under-16 take on Stars Country Under-16, while Renegades Metro Under-16 meet Stars Metro Under-16.

Selected following strong performances in the Dowling Shield, these players have the chance to impress in advance of State Under-17 squad trials in the winter for 2016.

Following Sunday’s games, Cricket Victoria High Performance staff will select Country Under-16 All-Stars and Metro Under-16 All-Stars squads for games against 2015 Vic Country Under-17 and Vic Metro Under-17 squads respectively.

These matches will be played on Sunday 21 February at Carlton CC and will provide opportunity for the Under-16 players to test themselves against the best Under-17 players in the state.

The matches will begin at 10.30am.
