Regional Cricket Manager - Northern Rivers

Cricket Victoria is one of Australia's leading sporting organisations and carries the responsibility of developing Cricket throughout the State. The Game Development department is responsible for promoting and facilitating the expansion of community cricket at all levels within Victoria, to underpin growth and participation and the success of the Victorian and Australian teams.

We are seeking a Regional Cricket Manager to facilitate the promotion, organisation and development of Victorian cricket in an assigned region in conjunction with various stakeholders as directed by Cricket Victoria (CV).  This position looks after the Northern Rivers area of country Victoria which includes the local government areas of Greater Bendigo City Council, Shire of Campaspe, Mitchell Shire Council, Moira Shire Council, Greater Shepparton City Council and the Shire of Strathbogie.

Duties of this position include:

  • To promote the development and enjoyment of all forms of cricket.
  • To increase sustainable participation in male and female cricket.
  • To implement Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia programs for male and female cricket across schools and communities.

To be successful you will have a tertiary qualification in sports management, teaching or similar, and a strong understanding of cricket from playing, coaching and administration. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication, along with the ability to develop relationships and be able to work under pressure.  Level 2 coaching accreditation would be an advantage.  A competitive salary package is available for this role.  A fully maintained vehicle as well as other tools of the trade including mobile phone and laptop will be provided.

This position involves working in the field with clubs, committees and schools.  Ability to attend after hours and weekend clinics, meetings and events is required as well as excellent time management skills.
