Cricket Victoria Pathway
Established in 1999, the Cricket Victoria Pathway consists of a series of programs and competitions for talented cricketers starting at Under 13 and moving through to senior cricket. It allows players, parents, coaches and administrators to understand the road from junior cricket through to representing Australia.
The eight metropolitan and eight country regions are all represented in every pathway program meaning players can participate in pathway programs irrespective of where in Victoria they live. Within the eight metropolitan regions a players' alignment to a region is via where they live (home address). Within the eight country regions a players' alignment to a region is via the cricket association they particpiate in at a community cricket club level.

The significant contribution local clubs and associations make in the development of cricketers is certainly recognised in Pathway programs. Players are not taken away from clubs for Pathway Squad participation. Regional Cricket Managers will be in regular disscusion with association and club representatives over selection of squads and will use club / association performances as major factors in selection.
