HELP OUR JUNIOR CRICKETERS TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Cricket Victoria, in association with the Australian Sports Foundation Ltd (established by the Australian Government to assist in the development of sport in Australia), is raising funds for its Junior Development Program.

The program, a component of the Cricket Victoria Pathway, is designed to foster and develop junior players, including those from the Victorian Under 17 and Under 19 squads, who not only have the potential to take the next step to Bushranger or VicSpirit state representation, but who could ultimately represent Australia.

The Cricket Victoria Junior Development Program has been registered as a project with the Australian Sports Foundation ('ASF'), enabling donations* to the ASF in support of the program to attract tax deductibility.

All grants from the ASF to Cricket Victoria# for their Junior Development Program will assist with:

  • Purchase of state of the art equipment (including video analysis and injury rehabilitation)
  • Specialist training and coaching camps
  • Specific sporting scholarships for talented young players
  • Travel for elite young players.  For example, in the next three years we have agreed to take selected young players on tours of England (2005), India (2006) and South Africa (2007).

*Donations of $2 or more to the ASF attract tax deductibility - see donation form below.

The Australian Sports Foundation Ltd (ASF) was established by the Australian Government through public and corporate donations for the development of sport in Australia.  Pursuant to the ASF's listing in the Income Tax Assessment Act (1997) (div 30, s 30-90), donations of $2 or more to the Foundation are tax deductible.  Donors must contribute unconditionally to the ASF to claim a tax deduction.  However, the ASF's structure makes it possible for a donor to indicate an approved project as the preferred beneficiary of their gift.  All claims are subject to being accepted by the Commissioner of Taxation.  If either an individual or business is uncertain of their position they should seek their own professional advice.
