Since it's inception in 1992/93 MILO in2CRICKET (formally Have-A-Go) has had a major impact on junior cricket in Victoria. Last season there was an increase of 158 junior teams across Victoria with 97% of the team increases being underpinned by the MILO in2CRICKET program.
Cricket Victoria's census figures have identified that Clubs that started MILO in2CRICKET, 7 or more seasons ago are now experiencing increases in the number of senior teams that they are fielding.
With cricket participation growing and with the excitement of Twenty20 cricket, I encourage all clubs to jump on board and tap into this 'window of opportunity' that is upon us.
MILO in2CRICKET doesn't cost clubs a cent to participate; Cricket Victoria provides all equipment to run the program free of charge. The pre-competition programs focus on teaching boys and girls of 5 -10 years the skills of the game through appropriately modified activities and games.
