Indoor Cricket

Indoor cricket now falls under the umbrella of Cricket Victoria following the historic merge of indoor and outdoor cricket.

Cricket Victoria employs an indoor cricket manager and a development officer to work alongside 15 Regional Cricket Managers to ensure, indoor cricket has a bright future at a grass roots level, which in time will lead to a strengthening of centre base competition and ultimately their premier competitions.   

In Victoria there are 12 metropolitan and nine country member centres.  Over 40,000 people enjoy playing Indoor Cricket each year.  Click here for the full list of centres.

Indoor cricket has two premier competitions.  Superleague is played on a Saturday during the winter months and Majorleague is played on a Friday night in the summer. Click here for more information.

Cricket Victoria's indoor state sides' the Hammers' boast 13 divisions ranging from under 12 to over 45s. There are three national title weeks.  The Masters is held in May the juniors in early July and the most prestige's' event, the Opens in late July.

Australia selects teams to participate at the world cup every 3 years.
