Level 1 Accreditation

The Level 1 Coaching Course is designed to educate coaches how to teach the basic fundamental skills of cricket.

Once registered for the Level 1 Coaching Course, each participant is asked to complete the free Introduction to Cricket Online Course which takes approximately 1-3 hours to complete.

A certificate of completion can be printed off once this course is completed. This certificate must then be brought along to the one day practical course (see scheduled dates on above registration form). The practical course includes approximately eight hours of contact time over one day and is partly made up of a practical assessment, which is to be completed by each candidate. It is absolutely necessary to have completed the online Introduction to Cricket component of the course, before attending the one day practical component to be eligible to pass. During the one day practical course, each candidate will be assessed for their competency to coach at a Level One standard.
The final result is a combination of participation in the 'face to face' practical course, the practical assessment component of the course and successful completion of the online Introduction to Cricket Course.
All result information will be forwarded by mail to participants within 6 weeks after the course.
Course cost: $115 (inclusive of GST). This gains you membership to Cricket Coaches Australia (CCA) for 2 years. CCA membership includes the following benefits:

COURSE CONDITIONS
Practical course days accommodate a maximum of 30 participants only.
Participants must be 16 years of age at the date of the practical day.
Transferring Courses: Participants transferring from one practical course day to another, due to not attending the course registered at, will inccur a non-negotiable $30 transfer fee.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical screening check:
Participants should have a personal fitness level that will enable them to physically complete the practical requirements of the course. Course presenters will reserve the right to request proof of adequate health status from a medical practitioner. Participants who are unable to meet this requirement will undertake alternative activities during the practical components of the course.
Police Check:
All applicants, as a condition of acceptance to a Cricket Australia NCAS course must consent to abiding by Australian and State/Territory Government legislation in relation to screening of coaches and agreement to undergoing a police check if requested.
Pre-course study/preparation:
Candidates are required to undertake the Introduction to Cricket Online Course prior to the practical course and submit their course completion certificate to the course presenter on the day of the practical course.
