The Lindsay Hassett Club returns for another exhilarating summer of cricket in 2008/09. Join Ian Cover and Billy Brownless as they host some of the biggest names in world cricket for three entertaining luncheons, focusing on the big issues of the game.

Thursday 9 October 2008: The Rise and Ride of Twenty20
Sofitel Grand Ballroom | 12noon for 12:30pm

Join ys as we delve into the global phenomenon of Twenty20 cricket with the man credited with creating the third generation format of the game, Englishman Stuart Robinson.

We'll review the inaugural season of the IPL, preview the Victorian Bushrangers foray into the Champions League with David Hussey and Cameron White and hear how some legends of the game see Twenty20 cricket evolving into the future.

Since re-entering international cricket in 1992, South Africa and Australia have been involved in some of the most memorable moments in Test and One Day cricket.

In the lead up to the 3 mobile Boxing Day Test, the Lindsay Hassett Club Lunch on Thursday 11 December will count down the Top 10 moments between Australia and South Africa. By voting on what you think are the Top 10 Australia v South Africa Moments you have the chance to win a double pass to Day 1 of the 3 mobile Boxing Day Test.

Trans Tasman sporting contests between the Aussies and Kiwis transcend all others - cricket, rugby, netball, horse racing and even sheep dog trials! Join stars from both the Australian and New Zealand teams in the lead up to the Commonwealth Bank Series at the MCG and reflect, enjoy and laugh at this most wonderful rivalry.
