Edinburgh Cricket Club seeks the services of a Playing Coach for Season 2008-09

Edinburgh Cricket Club is based at the Brunswick Street Oval in North Fitzroy and is one of the largest clubs within the Heidelberg District Cricket Association. Our club has 5 senior and 8 junior male teams, with a senior & junior U'17 female team. We have a unique relationship with the Milo & Vic Cricket programs, with junior numbers expected to steadily increase to 10-12 teams.

We aim to assemble a strong coaching panel to lead the club to success in our 30th year and beyond. Coaching assistant(s) & a training Co-ordinator can be provided to aid the role.

The successful applicant will possess:-

• Strong ability to work with juniors & younger members coming through the grades.
• Previous successful 1st XI experience
• Ability to lead and provide a structure for the senior grades.

A competitive remuneration package is available and can be negotiated.

Whittlesea Cricket Club require a Senior Coach for Season 2008/09

Whittlesea Cricket Club is affiliated with the DVCA and requires the services of a playing or non-playing coach for season 2008/09. The club is based in the town of Whittlesea 40km north of Melbourne and provides a unique opportunity for a coach to enjoy coaching in a close knit community club.

The club is growing steadily with three senior teams, two veterans sides, four junior sides and over fifty Milo participants. The club provides a great opportunity for a motivated and well-organised coach. The Club has modern cricket rooms, upgraded net facilities and a bowling machine.

The incoming coach has a fantastic opportunity to mould and educate the current group of players, behind a dedicated committee. First time coaching applicants are welcome to apply with overall cricketing experience and organisational skills being the main consideration.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

• produce a pre-season schedule
• oversee all senior training
• oversee player selection in all senior grades
• present a coaches report each month to the committee
• communicate well and provide leadership
• provide a positive and enjoyable playing environment for all.

Preston Baseballers Cricket Club Require a Senior Coach for 2008/09

Preston Baseballers Cricket Club competes in the top grade of the Jika Cricket Association. The First XI has played finals in four of the last five years. Applications are being sought for a senior coach who can:

  • take the First XI to the Burland Shield premiership
  • develop a structure and attitude that will provide a strong base for continued success throughout the club
  • co-ordinate senior team training
  • lead by example

Playing and non-playing applicants will be considered.

The club fields four senior and four junior teams. It is based on the corner of Bell and Albert Streets in Preston. The home ground, Oulton Reserve, has two cricket ovals and four synthetic nets.

Remuneration to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Brunswick Cricket Club require Coaches for two roles in Season 2008-2009


1. Junior Cricket and Development Coach 2008/09:

Brunswick Cricket Club seeks an enthusiastic accredited coach to oversee its Junior cricket program (6 teams from U10s to U16s) and, working with the Senior Coach, develop the skills of talented young cricketers in our senior squads. 2. RM Hatch Shield Under 15 Coach 2008/09:

The RM Hatch Shield is the premier under 15 representative level of competition in Victoria. Brunswick Cricket Club seeks an enthusiastic coach or coaches for its RM Hatch Under 15 team. The coach would be responsible for selecting, preparing and coaching the team for the RM Hatch competition, which is held over a two week period in mid January. The coach must be an accredited Level 1 Coach or prepared to obtain a Level 1 certificate in 2008. Remuneration negotiable.
