Play Cricket
The Play Cricket program is an entry level program for adults and children learning the basics of cricket. Essentially the program has been created for new arrivals to Australia and for people with disabilities.
The progam provides participants with an opportunity to learn the basic skills of batting, bowling, wicket keeping and fielding. It also delivers an understanding of the basic rules of cricket so any participant can take the game back to their local park, beach, school or backyard!
This is a fun program where players can learn the game in the comfort of their own environment and Cricket Victoria will come to almost any location across Victoria.
This program is available to all Community Groups, primary and secondary schools with a demographic of new Australians or people with a disability. Cricket Victoria will come to your school or community group and deliver a Play Cricket clinic or active workshop that is specifically designed to suit your participants, venue, age group and time availability. Cricket Victoria will also provide all equipment.
The program is free to schools and community groups that register. All groups participating will receive a cricket kit so they can continue to Play Cricket!
