The Sports Development Program is a joint initiative between Cricket Victoria, SEDA (Sports Education & Development Australia) and Victoria University, specifically designed for young people who would like to pursue a Sport and Recreation related career. If you are a year 10, 11 or 12 student you can complete your VCE, VCAL and Certificates III and IV in Sport and Recreation leading to a Diploma of Sport (Development).
Core curriculum involves theoretical and practical experience in sports administration, marketing, fitness, coaching, event/project management, literacy, numeracy and career planning.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
The Cricket Victoria Sports Development Program provides:
- an excellent pathway into higher education at Victoria University
- the opportunity to work closely with expert staff at Cricket Victoria
- a Cricket Victoria Sports Development program uniform
- use of a notebook computer
- access to the elite level training facilities at the MCG
AM I ELIGIBLE?
The program is:
- open to both males and females aged 16-19
- not dependent on sports skill
WHERE IS IT?
Programs will be based in sporting venues in all eight Cricket Victoria metropolitan regions.

| PLAY CRICKET PROGRAM | Introductory Cricket Clinics for people from diverse cultural backgrounds |
| ALL ABILITIES CRICKET | Introductory Cricket Clinics for people with disabilities |
| SPORTS TRAINER | Sports Medicine Australia - Level 1 Course |
| FIRST AID | Australian 1st Aid - Level 1 Course |
| COACH EDUCATION & TRAINING | Cricket Australia - Level 1 Coaching Course |
| UMPIRING | Cricket Australia Level 1 - Umpiring Course |
| FEMALE | Cric Hit - Assist with administration, coaching and umpiring |
| TALENT | VPSSA, VSSSA - Assist Cricket Victoria staff on match days with talent ID and post-game analysis |
