Cricket Victoria has worked with State Government to develop guidelines on synthetic pitches. Please refer to page 30 in the below link for these guidelines:

In 2010 Cricket Victoria sent a letter to associations and the CEO's of local councils in regards to the type of synthetic pitch needed for cricket to be played at the level expected by CV. The letter is attached below:

In late 2007, Cricket Victoria unveiled the research that had been conducted in partnership with 10 local councils on the All Season's synthetic wicket.
Several cricket clubs had raised concerns about the bounce and speed of the All Seasons synthetic wickets. In response to these concerns Victoria University were engaged to conduct independent research. For the full presentation of results click here.
