Victorian Spirit - Women's National Cricket League
The Victorian Spirit team competes in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL). For further information refer to the Victorian Spirit link in Elite Teams.
Victorian 2nd XI Team - Cricket Australia Cup (Women's)
The Victorian 2nd XI team competes in the Cricket Australia Cup (Women's). The 2006/07 tournament will be held in Melbourne from December 4-8, 2006, and will comprise teams from ACT, NSW, Queensland and Victoria. The Victorian 2nd XI team is selected from players in the Victorian Spirit Squad as well as players in the VWCA District Firsts competition.
Victorian U19 Team - U19 Australian Championships
The Victorian U19 team participates in the U19 Australian Championships (the "Betty Wilson Shield"). The 2006/07 Championships will be held in Hobart from January 3-10, 2007, and will include teams from Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, WA, SA and Queensland. A Victorian U19 squad is selected in May each year from players previously identified in the pathway.
Victorian U17 Team - U17 Australian Championships
The Victorian U17 team participates in the U17 Australian Championships (the "Betty Butcher Shield"). The 2006/07 Championships will be held in teh ACT from January 17-23, 2007 and will include teams from Victoria, WA, SA, Queensland, NSW and ACT. An U17 squad is selected from players participating in te U16 State Championships. That squad of players participate in a coaching program and trial process after which the Victorian U17 team is selected. The U16 State Championships comprises teams from the 16 regions across Victoria. Girls are able to try out for their region team by attending trials conducted by their area's Regional Cricket Manager. The Victorian U15 team participates in the U15 Australian Championships (the "Christina Matthews Cup"). The 2006/07 tournament will be held in Newcastle from December 6-12 2006, and will include teams from Victoria, NSW, SA and ACT. An U15 squad is selected from players participating in the U14 State Championships. That squad of players participate in a coaching program and trial process after which the Victorian U15 team is selected. The U14 State Championships comprises teams from the 16 regions across Victoria. Girls are able to try out for their region team by attending trials conducted by their area's Regional Cricket Manager. Victorian U13 Team - Australian Primary Schoolgirls Exchange
The Victorian U13 team participates in the Australian Primary Schoolgirls Exchange against teams from NSW, SA, Queensland and ACT. The next Exchange will be held in January 2006 in Cobram-Barooga. Girls can nominate for selection trials through their school. Nomination forms are distributed to all primary schools by the Victorian Primary School Sports Association (VPSSA) in January. Trials are then conducted by Cricket Victoria's Regional Cricket Managers, in conjunction with the VPSSA.
