FREE Cricket Victoria Webmail

Cricket Victoria is currently implementing a FREE generic webmail service for all Regions, Associations and Clubs state-wide.

The webmail system can be accessed through an Internet browser similar to how Hotmail and other free email providers work. Below are examples of email address formats;

Associations: <associationname>@asn.cricketvictoria.com.au
Clubs: <clubname>@club.cricketvictoria.com.au
Umpires: <associationname>@umpire.cricketvictoria.com.au

Once all clubs within an Association have received their login details and commence to utilise the new cricket email system you will be able to communicate amongst your Association individually or by sending to a group list.

Web Mail Features and benefits:

1.

Free web based e-mail similar to hotmail. Access mail from anywhere in the world provided you have internet access, and know the current log-in ID and password. Passwords can be easily changed by the user.

Clubs have a 15mb storage limit (exceeds most web based mail) while Associations have a 30mb storage limit.

3.

Improved communication between Clubs, Associations, Regions, the VCCL and CV.

4.

Fosters a cricket community in through which Clubs, Associations and Regions can easily communicate with each other. As well, your email address will be part of CV domain (i.e. club.cricketvictoria.com.au), and will remain constant even though your Office Bearers may change.

5.

Ability to auto forward mail to another mail account (eg work email account).
6.Can create your own contacts.
7.Can create your own mailing lists from these contacts or any email address eg newsletters to sponsors, player lists etc.
8.Manageability - always have a permanent email account, contacts, mailing lists etc that anyone from the club can access. You won't lose information if members leave.
9.Includes a calendering system so that you can manage association/club events. Create meetings/appointments with other people/clubs. Supports iCal (Microsoft Calender Format) so that you can make meetings with other bodies such as CV.
10.Anti-Virus and Spam protection.
