Umpires' Winter Classes
Cricket Victoria will again run Winter Class training nights for experienced, novice & intending Cricket Umpires, coaches, captains, players, team managers, club officials etc. The classes are directed at developing an understanding of The Laws of Cricket, as well as providing limited instruction on umpiring techniques.
The course, over 7 nights, will be conducted by Bob Stratford (Umpiring Manager) & Bob Parry (Umpiring Officer) for Cricket Victoria together with senior members of the Cricket Victoria Panel and first class umpires. The classes will be conducted at both the Holmesglen Conference Centre and RMIT Bundoora, Western Campus (Room 212.02.15).
Different Laws are covered each night so it is strongly recommended that you attend all sessions.
For those persons who will be applying to join the Cricket Victoria Panel of Umpires for season 2008/09, a mandatory examination on the Laws will be conducted on the final evening.
