JLT SPORT ASSET PROTECT

JLT Sport have recently announce a new online Business Pack Policy, JLT Sport Asset Protect.

This new innovation has been developed to provide clubs and associations with instant online access to business insurance in a very quick and simple online format.

In essence, clubs and associations can now obtain low cost insurance for their assets (contents, stock, equipment, money, & buildings) to cover things such as fire, theft, malicious / accidental damage etc. By utilising the buying power of over 15,000 JLT Sport clubs throughout Australia, quotes start at around $250 (plus government charges) for a base level of cover, but are tailored to suit each club.

In a high majority of cases, clubs and associations will receive better coverage than they have at present and / or cheaper premiums. Some clubs who have already taken out a policy have seen premium costs reduced by up to half and almost all have received enhanced coverage to better protect their club.

To further promote this new product JLT Sport will be providing prizes in the form of a raffle for clubs and associations that take up the insurance from now until the end of June 2009. Prizes will consist of free Asset Protect Insurance up to a maximum value of $1,500, two tickets to the 2009/2010 Allan Border Medal, Cricket Australia memorabilia and tickets to international cricket matches.

Clubs and associations can find out more at the JLT Sport Asset Protect website - www.jltsport.com.au/assetprotect.

Should you have any queries, please don't hesitate to make contact with any member of the JLT Sport team.

VCR REQUIREMENTS

The Victorian Cricket Registration (VCR) is your Association and Club's access point to the Australian Cricket National Club Risk Protection Program which provides Public and Products Liability cover for Clubs and Personal Accident coverage for players.

VCR plays a vital role in maintaining cricket's standing as Victoria's favorite summer sport. Understanding the demographics of the Victorian Cricket Community through VCR is a crucial component in managing state wide issues such as drought, access to facilities and the constant growth in our game.

MYCRICKET_SMLVCR and MyCricket

This season the Victorian Cricket Registration Process (VCR) and the NCRPP will be administered via the recently released MyCricket system.  MyCricket is expected to be able to receive registrations for VCR and the NCRPP from Monday 1st September 2008.  Further information on the VCR and NCRPP requirements will be provided at this time.

Extension to existing cover

Due to the change over to the MyCricket system presently occurring, and so as to give everyone sufficient time to obtain new Certificates of Currency for 2008/09, JLT Sport have kindly arranged an extension to the existing NCRPP cover through until 10th September 2008.

PLEASE NOTE, CERTIFICATES OF CURRENCY FOR 2008/09 WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF VCR WITHIN THE MYCRICKET APPLICATION.

How to complete the 2008/09 Victorian Cricket Registration

The information gathered via VCR is essential to ensure Victoria remains Australia's leading cricket state.  Thoroughly understanding the Victorian cricket community is crucial in managing state wide issues such as drought, access to facilities and the continued growth of the game.

As in previous years, FULL COMPLIANCE with the requirements of VCR will ensure your Club is eligible for significantly discounted premiums of $75 per senior team and $35 per junior team.

To assist you with complying with the requirements do VCR, this page outlines the VCR requirements for this season, and explains how to:

  • obtain access to the MyCricket system;
  • update your Club or Association profile, contact and census details;
  • obtain your Certificate of Currency for evidence of Public Liability cover;
  • ensure Personal Accident cover for your Club and members; and
  • pay your club's premium

FULL COMPLIANCE with VCR requires each Club to complete 4 simple steps, which are summarised below.

Step 1              Obtain your Username and Password

If your Club or Association is using MyCricket already then you can proceed to log in to MyCricket immediately.

If your Club or Association is not yet using MyCricket please click here to complete a registration form so a username and password can be supplied. Please note that your login details for the VCR in 2007/08 will not work in the MyCricket system.

You cannot proceed to Step 2 until you have completed this step.

Step 2              Club Profile and Census

Once you have your login details this is a simple case of following steps 1-4 of the MyCricket NCRPP Guide which can be downloaded here. Select the UPDATED MyCricket NCRPP Guide from the Club Administrators area.

At step 1 proceed directly to LOGIN rather than REGISTER.

This requirement needs to be updated and completed by 1 October 2008

You cannot proceed to Step 3 until you have completed this step.

Step 3              Risk Management and Certificate of Currency

Once you have completed steps 1-4 of the MyCricket NCRPP Guide you can click on "Register" to transfer to the JLT Sport website (Cricket's risk management advisors) to complete a brief Risk Management Questionnaire.

At the completion of the questionnaire you will be able to immediately obtain a copy of your Club's Certificate of Currency for Public Liability insurance.  Please note, as previously advised your current certificate of currency expired on 31 August 2008, with cover temporarily extended to 10 September 2008.

This requirement needs to be updated and completed by 1 October 2008

Please note that completion of Step 3 only partially fulfils your club's registration requirements. To ensure full compliance with VCR and eligibility for reduced premiums, Step 4 is also required.

STEP 4: Complete participant management

Keeping your organisation's participant details up to date is vital and will ensure they covered for Personal Accident under the NCRPP.  MyCricket enables you to upload new participants in bulk or as they join your Club or Association.

The participant information that you had previously recorded via the VCR has been imported into MyCricket so you do not have to re-enter this information. For these records all you will need to do is renew the participant roles in bulk for those participants who are continuing with your Club or Association this season and update any out of date contact information.

Participant details are checked by JLT Sport whenever a Personal Accident claim is lodged.  If the claimant is not recorded in MyCricket at the time of injury the Personal Accident claim may be delayed or denied.

This information is required to be updated in MyCricket by 15 October 2008.

Upon completion of the above (4) steps, premium invoices will be generated based on data collected via VCR and sent to each Club for payment.  Clubs will be required to remit payment to Cricket Victoria by 30 November 2008.  Failure to remit payment by this date may jeopardise cover

Compliance with VCR will ensure the best available sport risk protection coverage for both the club and its participants is obtained at a significantly discounted cost.
