Boland claimed his first ever Bill Lawry Medal for the Bushrangers’ Sheffield Shield player of the season, as well as the player-voted John Scholes Award while Holland notched his first Dean Jones Medal after a brilliant one-day campaign.

Clint McKay and Kelly Applebee were also honoured for their contribution to Victorian cricket during the evening, with the pair announcing that they had played their last game for the state, though McKay will continue to play first-class cricket in England as well as for his Twenty20 franchises.

Lanning won her fourth Sharon Tredrea Award for VicSpirit’s finest player, as well as also being named the inaugural Melbourne Stars WBBL Player of the Season with Strano receiving the Renegades’ award.

International superstars Pietersen and Bravo were acknowledged for their outstanding BBL seasons with their respective sides’ awards.

Boland experienced a breakthrough season, in which he made his Australian debut, with 33 Sheffield Shield wickets at an average of just 20.9.
