Finch catapulted into first position after an explosive season in the short form, which included the highest ever score in a T20I, with 156 off 63 balls.
Surpassing the previous record of 123, Finch’s knock featured an amazing 14 sixes and 11 fours.
In addition to that record, he also holds the mantle for the second fastest T20I century from just 47 balls.
At the recent World T20 in Bangladesh, Finch piled on the most runs for Australia with 158.
Australian captain Lanning recently showed her world-class ability at the Women’s World T20, notching the highest ever score in a women’s T20I with 126 from 65 balls.
During the 2013-14 Women’s Ashes T20 series, the right-hand bat accumulated Australia’s most runs with 143 in just three matches.
In 39 T20Is, the big hitting Lanning has piled on 1113 runs at a strike rate of 116.54.
