Cricket is a game that owes much of its unique appeal to the fact that it is to be played not only within the laws of cricket, but also within the ‘spirit of the game’. Any action seen as abusing this spirit injures the game itself. Embracing the spirit of the game means participating fairly and exhibiting respect for others and the game’s traditional values, such as graciousness in defeat and humility in victory.
Every season, Cricket Victoria offers cricketers throughout Victoria the opportunity to participate in various programs, talented youth and community performance programs, leagues, tournaments, competitions, activities and events (together, programs).
