Previously known as the Club Capacity and Workforce Development Grants, the Community Cricket Grants Program is a joint initiative between Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia, with grants available to all Victorian based community cricket clubs and associations.
There are two different streams of funding clubs and associations can apply under.
Funding Stream One – Minor Facilities
Funding Stream Two – Club & Association Capacity Building
Clubs and associations can apply for up to $5,000 total funding between both streams.
Cricket Victoria’s General Manager Community Cricket Rohan O’Neill said:
“The Community Cricket Grants Program is in place to support cricket club initiatives that focus on participation and their local community. Through this program, we’ve seen fantastic results over the last few years with the growth in participation of cricket for girls and women a highlight.
“We invite cricket clubs to submit their application as we thank them for their continued work across communities in Victoria.”
A beneficiary of last year’s funding program, Serpentine Cricket Club’s Wayne Wilson said:
“The grant we received last year helped the Serpentine Cricket Club re-form a team after ten years in recess, and provided funding to build a new synthetic wicket to play cricket on.
“This helped us to compete in the local cricket competition again and has also enabled younger members of our community to engage in sport across the summer months.”
Please read and review the Community Cricket Grants Guidelines for 2018-19 here prior to submitting your application.
