The National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC) is Cricket Australia’s premier national tournament for cricketers with a disability, bringing together the best players from across the country to compete in an inclusive and high-performance environment proudly since 2017.
Each year Cricket Victoria proudly sends four representative teams to the Championships, including Blind and Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Men, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women, and Intellectual Disability teams. With more than 70 Victorian players and support staff attending annually, the program provides athletes with the opportunity to compete at the highest level, showcase their skills and represent their state with pride.
Beyond the competition, the NCIC celebrates diversity, inclusion and the power of sport to create meaningful connections. Participants benefit from elite cricket experiences, personal development opportunities and the chance to build lifelong friendships with teammates and competitors from around Australia.
The Cricket Victoria Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the Victorian teams through fundraising, travel assistance, uniforms and program delivery, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent athletes from accessing the opportunity to represent Victoria. The Championships continue to demonstrate that cricket is a game for everyone, while creating pathways for players with a disability to thrive both on and off the field.
