Cricket Victoria is saddened to hear of the loss of former Australian and Victorian Player Janice Parker (nee Wady).
Ms Parker died last week in Bendigo at the age of 87.
Janice represented Australia in 5 Test Matches (2 tests in the 1963 Tour of England and 3 tests in the 1968/69 series vs England in Australia), scoring 172 runs @ 24.57 (2 x 50s, top score of 60) and taking 3 wickets @ 11.33 (best of 2/13) and 3 catches.
Janice debuted for Victoria in the 1956/57 State Carnival and played 37 Matches for Victoria, scoring 685 runs @ 21.41 with 1 x 100 (top of 103) and 1 x 50, and took 15 wickets @ 10.47 and 17 catches.
At VWCA level, Janice played 124 Pennant Grade Matches across the YWCA and South Yarra, scoring (on current known records) 4,039 runs @ 49.86 with 11 centuries (top of 161*) and 15 50s and took 202 wickets @ 12.55 (best of 7/40 with 7 x 5 wicket hauls).
A funeral is scheduled for February 27th in Bendigo (11am start) through Bendigo Funerals.
