Commonwealth Bank secure naming rights partnership

Cricket Victoria is proud to announce Commonwealth Bank as the major partner of the Victorian Bushrangers and VicSpirit for the next 12 months.

As one of cricket’s longest standing partners, the Commonwealth Bank is actively committed to the ongoing promotion and celebration of Australia’s favourite pastime, formally joining forces with Victoria’s two flagship cricket teams earlier today.

Having witnessed the success of the Bushrangers and VicSpirit in recent years, Commonwealth Bank Regional General Manager of Victoria Richard Porter said the organisation was delighted to be affixing its brand to Cricket Victoria.

“We are very excited about this new partnership, and we are committed to supporting cricket at this elite level through to grassroots,” Mr Porter said.

Cricket Victoria Chief Executive Officer Tony Dodemaide was understandably delighted with this morning’s announcement.

“Commonwealth Bank is a brand that is synonymous with cricket,” Mr Dodemaide said.

“Cricket Victoria, and cricket more generally, has enjoyed a prosperous and mutually beneficial relationship with the Commonwealth Bank for many years and today’s announcement strengthens that relationship.

“We look forward to seeing the Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers and Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit fighting it out for further silverware this season and progressing through to the international arena.”

The Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers will face Queensland at the Gabba during their opening RYOBI One-Day Cup fixture on Sunday, while the Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit will commence their campaign on home soil on October 28 in the Women’s T20 competition.
