CV inducts new Life Members

Cricket Victoria (CV) has inducted three new Life Members for their service to the administration of the sport.

Sue Crow, John Cassidy and Jack Sheehan were officially elected Life Members earlier this week.

Ms Crow was appointed as the first ever female Director of Cricket Victoria in 2007 and stepped down from that position earlier this year.

Ms Crow was a member of several committees during her directorship and was also the Board’s representative on the Victorian Indigenous Cricket Advisory Committee.

Prior to service as a Director, Ms Crow was the Executive Director of Women’s Cricket Australia from 1995-2000.

Mr Cassidy has been the Secretary/Administration Manager at Ringwood Cricket Club for 20 years and continues to serve the Rams in that role. He represented the club as a CV delegate since the 1997/98 season before stepping down in June.

Mr Sheehan was a CV delegate for 15 years from 2000/01 to 2016/17 representing Victorian Sub-District cricket, and also represented that body on the CV Game Development committee. Mr Sheehan devoted many years of service to the ‘Subbies’, including several years as President, and his beloved Caulfield Cricket Club.

Cricket Victoria CEO Tony Dodemaide congratulated the three recipients on their achievement.

“Sue, John and Jack have all dedicated significant time in their lives to fostering Victorian cricket, and ensuring the game remains as strong as possible,” Dodemaide said.

“It is highly appropriate that their individual years of service to our game is recognised in this way and we look forward to formally welcoming Sue, John and Jack as Life Members, and presenting their awards, at the Boxing Day Test in December.”
