Pink Stumps Day 2013

The McGrath Foundation is calling on all clubs to support Pink Stumps Day in 2013.

Off the back of the Sydney Pink Test, more than 1000 community cricket clubs, schools and businesses are expected to turn HOT PINK on Saturday, February 23 to help raise funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and increase breast awareness in young Australian women.

The first 1000 clubs to register can select to receive a Pink Stumps Kit full of pink goodies and valued at over $500. The Pink Stumps Kit contains:

  • One set of hot pink stumps and bails;
  • One set of hot pink wicket-keeping pads;
  • One hot pink duffle bag;
  • Six hot pink cricket training balls;
  • Fifteen hot pink caps;
  • Fifteen sew-on badges;
  • Pink Stumps Day tattoos (enough for the whole team and spectators too) and;
  • Three McGrath Foundation collection tins.

By hosting a Pink Stumps Day, Victorian cricket clubs will be helping to make a difference to the lives of Australian families experiencing breast cancer – to date, the McGrath Foundation has 78 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working in communities right across the nation who have helped supported more than16,000 Australian families experiencing breast cancer.

Every club that registers will receive an online fundraising page which you can share with your friends, colleagues and students via email, Facebook or Twitter to help you with your fundraising.
