David Moody is a right-arm fast‑medium bowler who made his first-class debut for Western Australia in the 2014–15 Sheffield Shield, immediately impressing with figures of 4/60 on debut.

The nephew of former Australian international Tom Moody, David earned selection in several invitational Cricket Australia XIs – including the Prime Minister’s XI ahead of the 2015 World Cup.

After 39 Shield matches and a move away from WA, he relocated to Melbourne and forced his way into the Victorian setup. Moody made his Victoria debut in March 2025, grabbing 4/41 against his former teammates at the WACA, and was rewarded with a full state contract for the 2025–26 season following standout performances in Premier cricket for Melbourne and the Victorian Second XI.

At 1.95 m, Moody brings genuine pace and experience to the Victoria pace attack, making him a key fast‑bowling asset in both Shield and one‑day formats.
