Oliver Peake is a rising talent in Australian domestic cricket, representing Victoria and the Melbourne Renegades. A left-handed middle-order batter and occasional right-arm off-spinner, Peake burst into the scene during the 2024-25 season. He was pivotal in Australia’s triumph at the 2024 Under‑19 World Cup, Stepping in from reserve to score 49 in the semi-final and an unbeaten 46 in the final.

In first-class cricket, he debuted for Victoria in March 2025 against Western Australia at the WACA, top-scoring with a gritty 52 on debut under challenging pitch conditions. That performance earned him a rookie state contract for 2025–26. 

Peake’s progression continued with a Big Bash League debut for the Melbourne Renegades in January 2025, and a maiden Australia A call-up for the July 2025 multi-format series against Sri Lanka A in Darwin. 

Coming from a strong cricketing lineage – his father Clinton Peake was a former Victorian first-class player- Oliver has been praised for his mature technique, game intelligence, and composure reminiscent of Justin Langer. At just 18, he’s already seen as a future Test prospect and one to watch closely in Victorian and Australian cricket pathways.
