Sam Elliott has firmly established himself as one of Victoria’s most effective pace bowlers and a reliable lower-order contributor. Heading into the 2024-25 campaign, he carried strong form from the previous season-taking 13 wickets at an average of 27.65 in the 2023-24 Marsh One-Day Cup.

In September 2024, he delivered a historic 7/12 against Tasmania in the domestic one‑day tournament, setting a new record for best bowling figures by a Victorian. Throughout the 2024-25 season, Elliott continued his ascent: in first-class Sheffield Shield and List A formats, he claimed over 27 wickets in first-class and 29 in List A, consistently contributing valuable lower-order runs – with a top score of 80* and 46* respectively.

Now 25, and the son of former Test player Matthew Elliott, Sam has become a cornerstone of Victoria’s bowling attack – an ascending talent whose all‑round impact played a key role in the team’s success this season.
