Cricket Victoria (CV) conducts a series of lectures, “The Winter Classes”, during the off-season in May/June/July each year. The structure and delivery of the Winter Classes program have been reviewed with a view to making it more appropriate to the umpiring/playing experience of participants. These classes will be predominately theory based.

The 2019 program will be held on Tuesdays for 6 weeks at CitiPower Centre.

Venue: CitiPower Centre, Lakeside Drive, St Kilda
Time: 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Cost: $60

Details of this online course can be found here:

Registration for the Winter Classes is available under courses found in the above community cricket website.

Cricket Victoria generally recruits for the Premier Cricket Umpire Panel from this program. For those umpires wishing to join the Cricket Victoria Premier Panel for 2017-2018 completion of the exam on Week 6 is compulsory.

Confirmation of attendance and details of parking and public transport will be sent to participants one week prior to the commencement of the classes.

During the course contact details for “local associations” will be provided for participants.

Participants may wish to bring along pens/pencils and a notebook.  All other materials are supplied.  Law books will be available for sale each night.
