With the recent completion of the Under-14 and Under-16 VicSpirit Pathway Championships, the Central Highlands initiative will give three teams the chance to further develop their skills while competing for the Wendy Gray Shield.
Ballarat, Gisborne and the Grampians will gather to participate in the round-robin tournament throughout the day.
The Twenty20 contest will follow a structure that sees a maximum of four overs per bowler and batters retiring at 30 runs.
“The competition’s main focus is for the development of girls and to provide a positive cricket experience in an “all-girls” setting,” Cricket Victoria Regional Cricket Manager Campbell Waring said.
“It will be a great day for female cricket in the region.”
The Central Highlands Twenty20 Just for Girls competition will take place on Sunday, February 10 from 9am at the Brown Hill Cricket Club in Ballarat.
