Reason for nomination: The All Abilities Cricket Association we were involved with disbanded in 2015, Hussain from Yarraville Club Cricket Club rang me offering coaching and support for players with intellectual disabilities. We enrolled two teams in October 2015 with the MAACA (Melbourne All Abilities CA) and with advice and coaching from Huss, we had an undefeated season and won the premiership. We also won the State All-Abilities Carnival in February 2016. Huss has the respect from all the players. Cricket is a huge part of these males and females lives and his experience and caring attitude make him a mentor and all round good bloke!

Reason for nomination: Appointed in 2014, Adrian’s immediate impact upon our entire club has been nothing short of amazing. He has an inclusive and open coaching style that has encouraged players to take ownership, of not just their own games, but the brand of cricket played by all the teams as a whole. Adrian’s methods are innovative, and sessions are meticulously organised. Our first grade average score per wicket this season increased from 24.72 to an amazing 40.6.  Senior results in 2015-16 included First XI Premiers (first time in 14 years), First XI T20 Semi finalists, Third XI Runners up and Fourth XI Premiers.

Accreditation level: High Performance Coach
Years of coaching: 30
Reason for nomination: Mick’s focus on continuing the vision and goals set at the start of the season, his contribution, experience, coaching and presence was paramount to the success of the FDCC with a Premier Cricket 1st XI Premiership and third place finish in the Club Championship. A mentor and role model to all with his contagious enthusiasm, hardness, professionalism, values, compassion, commitment and willingness to share his knowledge and experience helps develop all players, coaches and officials for the future. His many years of success is due to his input and work ethic to ensure continuous teaching to others about this great game of cricket.
