In partnership with Local Government, Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria, the Program will help to improve grassroots cricket infrastructure across the state, providing much needed upgrades to nets, pitches, changerooms and playing surfaces.
It will also help create new metropolitan cricket centres across greater metropolitan Melbourne.
Cricket Victoria CEO Andrew Ingleton welcomed the opening of the grant funding.
“The Victorian Government’s Community Cricket Program will see a range of facilities built, upgraded or improved to ensure players have access to quality facilities that benefits their involvement in cricket.”
“We want our cricket fans to have the best and we’re working with the Victorian Government to make that a reality.”
