Leadership Program Continues to Grow

The 240 plus students from the Bendigo based school participating in the Leadership Forum, which saw students take part in a panel discussion led by Xavier Crone (Former Student), Molly Strano and Guy McKenna, marks exciting new growth for the program.

This was followed by four leadership workshops with a range of themes including;

• Identifying their leadership spirit
• Identifying their strengths and positive mindset
• Importance of finding a mentor
• Challenging boys to become men of character (Boys only)
• Building resilience and how to monitor energy levels (Girls only)

The day concluded with a round of Social Sixes, a modified game of cricket that includes skills sessions and match play that’s relaxed, fun and perfect for individuals who are new to cricket.

“It is fantastic to see the Leadership Program go from strength to strength” said Cricket Victoria School Participation OfficerSophie Crockett.

“Having a school wanting to roll the program out to the entire year level is really encouraging, and we hope we can continue to facilitate the opportunity to other schools who may be interested.”

The Leadership Program has a Metropolitan Leadership Forum being held at Cricket Victoria’s home, the CitiPower Centre, in December and schools are invited to nominate Year 7 & 8 girls from their school to take part in the interactive program which is required before attending the forum.
