The competition is an initiative designed to engage with wider multicultural communities and provides local cricketers with an exclusive opportunity to represent their country of origin and either the Stars or Renegades as part of Cricket Victoria’s Harmony in Cricket Association.
Players can register to the Harmony in Cricket Association as an individual, a club or a league to find like-minded people to play community cricket with.
The Multicultural T20 tournament is a fantastic opportunity for players and coaches alike to represent their country, region, and don their favourite BBL team’s colours. It provides a fantastic pathway for higher honours as well as developing and strengthening the multicultural cricketing community.
To be selected in the tournament, players had to be registered to the Harmony in Cricket Association before being chosen to represent their country of origin in a regional league.
A team of the tournament was then selected from each League to represent the Stars and Renegades at the Multicultural Big Bash.
