Each day one person will be given a selected gift of signed memorabilia to say thank you for making our game great. Make sure you keep an eye out on the Harmony Cricket Facebook page for the announcements each day.
The final day of the campaign is marked by Harmony Day on March 21, a day that acknowledges Australia’s cultural diversity and promotes inclusion, respect and a sense of belonging for all. The day coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The day mirrors Cricket Victoria’s Harmony In Cricket philosophy that celebrates the message that cricket is a game where everybody, regardless of their cultural background, religion, gender, age or ability feels welcome.
“We acknowledge the importance of diversity and what this brings to the culture of our organisation and the broader community. We also continue to work on developing safe structures to ensure the process of inclusion is meaningful to enable all Victorian’s the opportunity to play cricket, which is fundamental to our strategy.” – Emma Staples, Market and Community Engagement Manager
