Vics vie for silverware at Junior Indoor Cricket Championships

The state will be represented in the under-14, 16, and 18 boy’s category and will have two teams in the under-18 girl’s division.

The under-14 and 16 boys will be defending their titles from Adelaide and are expected to be hard to beat.

After a tough tournament last year, the under-18 boys have a number of new faces and are looking like a cohesive unit that will be much more competitive in 2015.

In the under-18 girls division, Victoria has entered two teams, Victoria ‘Blue’ and ‘White’.

“Our under-18 girls have worked very hard over the last 18 months, improving their cricket skills individually and as a collective team,” Cricket Victoria Indoor Cricket Manager Ross Gregory said.

“I am proud and confident that the girls will continue to improve at next month’s tournament as we look to take steps forward with women and girls in Victorian indoor cricket”.

The 2015 Australian Junior Championships will be held from July 4 to 11 at the Toombul Indoor Sports Centre in Brisbane.
