Situated in the Western District of Victoria, the Johnny Mullagh Centre contains the story of one of the nation’s most significant historical, sporting and cultural events; depicting the journey of the first international cricket touring team to leave Australian shores.
The team was made up of aboriginal men from the region which departed for England under the cloak of darkness in 1868, some 14 years prior to the first Ashes campaign.
Earlier this year, the Johnny Mullagh Centre launched the Bradman Exhibit, with fully autographed photos of the 1930, 1934, 1938 and 1948 Australian Test teams that featured Sir Don amongst its collection.
It is envisaged that the exhibit pieces will be changed about every six months to keep the collection fresh and exciting for Bradman and cricket tragics.
