Australian Junior Championships

Five Victorian teams will be in action across four divisions incorporating under-17 boys and girls, under-17 girls development, under-15 boys and under-13 boys.

With the competition staged in a round-robin format, each team will meet its opponents twice throughout the tournament in the 90-minute affairs.

Teams were selected after participants competed in various indoor cricket tournaments including zones and school competitions.

After being invited to attend a training session, squads were then formed before final teams were selected.

“Very few kids get the chance to represent their state so I really hope they enjoy every moment of it,” Cricket Victoria Indoor Cricket Manager Ross Gregory said.

“These Championships give participants a pathway to represent Australia.”

With the 2015 Indoor Cricket World Cup on the horizon, the Australian Junior Championships will provide the perfect platform for those looking to impress.

The Australian Junior Championships will be held in Sydney from June 30 to July 6 at Sportsworld Liverpool.
