Boxing Day Test tickets released

The allocation, which was previously unavailable to the public and includes scalper tickets that have been cancelled and returned at face value, ensures the ‘G remains on track to boast a world record crowd on December 26.

The Ashes blockbuster between Australia and England appears destined to eclipse the attendance world record set at the MCG in 1961 against the West Indies of 90,800 with this morning’s release of tickets the final opportunity to be a part of history.

Additional tickets will also be made available for days two, three and four for the Ashes clash, giving fans a chance to witness one of the great sporting spectacles in Australia.
