England retain the Ashes

Having declared overnight with a 331-run lead, Queensland quick Ryan Harris (2-13) and Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers firebrand Peter Siddle (1-6) rocked the English top order as they reduced them to 3-35 at lunch.

But just three further deliveries were bowled for the day, including a brute of a ball from Siddle which struck Ian Bell on the thumb, as play was abandoned with England on the back foot.
