World Cup Participation Program

The participation program, run in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) and local governments, has included providing free and subsidised membership for new players. The program has included:

• Girls and boys from 7 – 12 In the City of Hume taking part in an eight week MILO T20 Blast competition, with all participation costs covered by the local council, Cricket Victoria and SRV.
• Partnership with City of Maribyrnong to offer new participants a 75% registration fee discount for any junior cricket program within the city while also providing an additional $40 uniform grant to all junior cricket club participants with a family Healthcare Card.
• 5 to 8 year olds In the City of Casey getting their first taste of MILO in2cricket through an entry-level program providing a 50% membership fee subsidy at five local cricket clubs.
• An in2sport voucher program supported by Cricket Victoria, SRV and Brimbank City Council, which has been operating in the municipality since last September. The scheme provides up to $200 in subsidies to assist children of low income earning families to participate in cricket.
