Cricket Victoria General Manager of Marketing, Commercial and Communications Tim Gledhill welcomed the announcement.
“We are pleased to partner with such an innovative brand,” Gledhill said.
“Masuri has established a great reputation within the cricket community, becoming the preferred choice of the Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers and VicSpirit squads.”
“We are greatly looking forward to partnering with Cricket Victoria, they are a progressive outfit that share similar values to Masuri,” said Masuri Managing Director Sam Miller.
The Masuri story began in Cape Town in 1988 with the creation of the now commonplace stainless steel grille.
Work then began to create the first lightweight, adjustable helmet and Masuri soon became the most widely worn helmet in the first-class and international arena.
The International Cricket Council has been driving an improvement of cricket helmet safety standards after seeing an increasing number of facial injuries across all levels of cricket.
The new standards will ensure far greater facial protection, dramatically improving player safety and redefining the cricket helmet market.
The Masuri Vision Series range has been designed and engineered from the beginning to meet the tough challenges set out by the new standards without compromising on performance.
Masuri launched the Vision Series in the UK in March 2014 and the uptake has been astounding, with the majority of England’s national players choosing to wear the Masuri Vision Series.
