VIRUS // Action Sport Performance chosen as high performance compression partner

The agreement is the first group deal across Cricket Victoria’s elite teams, including the Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers, VicSpirit, Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars KFC Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash League teams.

Cricket Victoria CEO Tony Dodemaide welcomed the announcement.

“We are delighted to work with a partner focused on high performance and helping our elite athletes have the edge with a range of products dedicated to helping players with their recovery,” Dodemaide said.

“The Cricket Victoria group and VIRUS share a strong grassroots cricket focus and we look forward to working with the VIRUS team to provide grassroots cricketers with access to high quality products normally accessible only to elite players.”

VIRUS National Teams Manager Matt James is excited about the partnership with the Cricket Victoria Group.

“We know that by wearing our high performance apparel we can assist the Bushrangers, VicSpirit, Renegades and Stars with their ultimate goal of winning their respective tournaments,” James said.

“VIRUS high performance apparel is relatively new to the Australian market.

“With fabric technology that surpasses anything else currently on the market, we have been able to infuse natural minerals into our fabric that not only enhance the athletes performance but are also safe to the skin allowing the athlete to perform at his/her best every day, whether it by wearing our STAYCOOL range reducing the athletes skin surface temperature by as much as five degrees or wearing our ENERGYSERIES range infused with BioCeramic assisting in the removal of toxins from the body and speeding up the recovery process by the use of far infrared rays.”
