Cricket Victoria renews partnership with Kookaburra for a further three seasons

The partnership, which first commenced prior to the 2017-18 season, will see Kookaburra once again be the exclusive ball of choice for all Victorian cricketers from the elite to grassroots level.

In what has been a tumultuous year for sport in Victoria, it is a welcome sign to see cricket resuming in parts of the state. It signifies a return to normality in time for one of the most anticipated seasons yet.

Cricket could not return without the dedication and resourcefulness of clubs, associations and thousands of volunteers who have worked tirelessly in partnership with Cricket Victoria to find safe ways to give players the opportunity to get back out on the pitch. This dedication to the game is what makes Cricket Victoria and Kookaburra such a productive partnership.

In addition to the supply of balls to be used in all matches played across Victoria, Kookaburra’s support for Victorian cricket runs through the community cricket competitions as a major sponsor of the National Under 17, Under 19 and Country Cricket championships.

Many of Victoria’s leaders in the game take to the pitch using Kookaburra bats and protective equipment. These players from the Victorian squads, Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars teams include Glenn Maxwell, Tayla Vlaeminck, Peter Handscomb, Alana King, James Pattinson and Makinley Blows.

Cricket Victoria Chief Executive Andrew Ingleton said “We’re pleased to renew our successful partnership with Kookaburra, a brand and organisation that has long been synonymous with the summer of cricket. We look forward to working together to deliver benefits to the Victorian cricket community in the much anticipated season ahead.”

Kookaburra National Sales Manager Leigh Watts said Kookaburra was delighted to continue its partnership with Cricket Victoria.

“Kookaburra are proud to continue our long-standing association with Cricket Victoria and its Premier Cricket clubs,’’ he said.

“As a proudly Australian-owned company, we strive to bring the best in cricket to communities across the country. We look forward to a stellar season for all association members and the greater Victorian cricket community.”

Kookaburra have their widest range of cricket equipment available via KookaburraSport.com.au, featuring cricket balls for every type of match and to suit all budgets. All equipment thoughtfully considered and made by the world leader in cricket gear.
