Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit superstar Meg Lanning delivered three breathtaking innings in five weeks that re-wrote the record books.

The stylish opener smashed a WNCL record of 175 on November 10, followed it up with the highest VWCA individual score of 241 eight days later, then hit the fastest ODI century in women’s cricket on December 17.

Her first onslaught, which surpassed Karen Rolton’s 173 as the highest score in WNCL, was from just 143 balls against the ACT Meteors in Canberra.

Lanning’s innings, which included 28 boundaries, was the centrepiece of another brilliant season that saw her amass a Victorian record of 803 runs.

The hapless Melbourne outfit was her next target when she lined up for Box Hill on November 18.

The Victorian star amassed 241 from 136 balls, with 34 fours and four sixes, to post the highest ever VWCA score.

Her innings passed the previous VWCA record of 209 which was held by former VicSpirit captain Rachael Haynes.

Arguably her finest innings was saved for last when she helped the Southern Stars clinch a one-day series against New Zealand with her second one-day hundred.

Lanning recorded the fastest one-day century in women’s international cricket in just 45 balls, bettering the previous mark of 57 balls from Karen Rolton in 2000.

She carved out 18 fours and three sixes in her innings, with her half-century coming in 23 deliveries.

#8 – Under-17 National Championships victory
#9 – VicSpirit amass record score
#10 – Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars’ BBL campaigns
