U14 Girls Indoor Cricket Team finalist in 2018 Victorian Sport Awards

The U14 Girls State Indoor team was nominated following a remarkable year in which they went undefeated across the 8-day tournament held in March 2018. The girls created their own slice of history, winning for the third year in a row.

The team of 10 talented youngsters has been named a finalist for the award alongside the Victorian Age diving team, Victorian 19/U Netball team and the South Melbourne Seahorses – U15 Rescue and Resuscitation Team – Life Saving.

The recipient of the Award will be announced on 20 February, with the event to be hosted at Marvel Stadium.

The Victorian Sport Awards in partnership with the State Government of Victoria, is a night that celebrates sporting achievements. The Awards recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Victoria as an individual or team, coaches, administrators and volunteers from both metropolitan and regional areas in Victoria.

The Young Team of the Year award celebrates Victorian junior teams who have performed exceptionally well at a state, national, international or elite level during the 2018 year.
