Batting first, the Pirates put together their best total of the season amassing 115 (Robert Walsh, 24 runs). In reply the Warriors fell behind the scoring rate early in the chase, however a last pair partnership of 46 between Shane Cook (21 runs) and Tim Farrant (25 runs) saw the Warriors pass the Pirates on the final ball of the match and take fourth spot on the ladder.

Meanwhile in the Melton Falcons and Hoppers Crossing clash, Cam Clayton (17 runs, 4 wickets) led the Falcons to a 101-76 run win.

North Geelong Supercats increased their hold on third spot with a 120-86 win over cross-town rivals Geelong Jets, where Richie Farrington continued his strong start to the season with 24 runs and two wickets.

The Northcote Knights amassed a further two wins across the weekend (113-70 vs. Pirates, 122-63 vs. Albury Warriors) to go 15 points clear on top of the ladder.
