Commonwealth Bank leg-spinner James Muirhead burst onto the international scene in 2013-14 with some impressive Twenty20 performances.

With just two first-class matches and four Twenty20s under his belt, Muirhead was selected for the Australia V England T20 series.

He impressed in his opening match at Bellerive Oval where he claimed 1-34 from four overs and backed up his performance in his second match in front of a home crowd where he conceded just 17 runs from his four overs, whilst also taking a wicket.

He finished the series with his best figure of 2-13 from two overs in the final match.

Muirhead’s performance was enough to cement his position in the World Twenty20 squad which is currently playing in Bangladesh.
